By downloading, installing, or using MacWrench ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
MacWrench is a macOS utility application that helps users manage installed applications, Homebrew packages, and system cleanup. The App provides features including app update detection, Homebrew package management, and system cache cleaning.
MacWrench requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later. Certain features require Homebrew to be installed on your system. The App supports both Apple Silicon and Intel-based Macs.
The free tier provides access to view installed applications, check for available updates, basic Homebrew management, and system scan previews. The free tier is available indefinitely at no cost.
MacWrench Pro unlocks additional features including batch updates, full system cleanup, version history, and priority support. Pro is available as:
Subscriptions are billed through Stripe via RevenueCat. Your payment method will be charged at the beginning of each billing period (monthly or annually). All prices are in Euros (€) and include applicable taxes.
The monthly Pro plan includes a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to Pro features until the end of the period you have already paid for. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period.
Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at support@macwrench.app within 14 days of the charge.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use MacWrench on macOS devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms. You may not redistribute, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
When using MacWrench, you agree to:
MacWrench requires certain system permissions to function, including access to your Applications folder and, for the Cleaner feature, Full Disk Access. The App may request administrator privileges via macOS system prompts for operations that require elevated permissions (such as cleaning system caches or managing Homebrew packages). These permission requests are handled through standard macOS security mechanisms.
MacWrench integrates with third-party tools including Homebrew, mas-cli, and Mole. These tools are governed by their own licenses and terms. We are not responsible for the functionality, availability, or behavior of third-party tools. You are responsible for installing and maintaining Homebrew separately if you wish to use Homebrew management features.
MacWrench is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. While the Cleaner feature includes safety scoring to help you make informed decisions, you acknowledge that deleting system files carries inherent risk and you are responsible for reviewing items before deletion.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MacWrench and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, system damage, or loss of profits, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may release updates to MacWrench from time to time. Updates may add, modify, or remove features. The App uses Sparkle for automatic update notifications. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately, but provisions that by their nature should survive (including limitation of liability and disclaimers) will remain in effect.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and the applicable laws of the jurisdiction in which the developer is established. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
